California

The first week and a half of summer (June 2 through June 10) Shawn and Wyatt left for Europe with a good eckspactashun. I decided that I was going to take the girls and Adam to California to see the red wood forest while they wear gone. We had so much fun! The first day we made it almost to Sacramento, so the next day we decided to stop in Vallejo at the Six Flags Discovery Kingdom the girls had so much fun (I think Marissa would have liked a older friend though, so she could go ride more of a thrill ride than Thomas the train but she was a good sport bout it.) The next few days we drove up to our finale destination of Crescent City Cali it was really beautiful their we went and saw an active lighthouse that the two little girls LOVED.
They even let us crawl up into the very top if it.

We went to this very cool place called Trees of Mystery just a few minuets out side of Crescent City. It was a easy 2 mile hike in the Redwoods. At the starting point they had huge life size statue of Paul Bunyan and the coolest part was that he would talk to you. He would say “Olivia how are you?” and when we left he said “good bye Frasier Family.” It was super cute. Then at the end of the hike their was a Gondola you would take to the top of the mountain it was a amazing view.

We spent a lot of time in the redwood national park too.

We went in and saw a log made into a house
And of Course we had to go to the beach even though it was only 60 deg.

And our last stop on the way home. It was a beautiful canyon called Fern canyon.

We had a blast and a lot of funny memories like when we tried to drive through the “Drive through Tree” and our car got stuck. I had a blast thanks so much girls!
